Job Title: Fine Art Import & Export Customs Clearance

Our client, who are Fine Art transportation specialists, are currently seeking a Fine Art Import / Export Customs Clearance, for their team based in London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced logistics professional with a strong background in import and export customs clearance, particularly via road freight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the transportation of fine art and high-value goods, with a focus on customs compliance.
• Handle full import and export customs clearance procedures, primarily for road freight.
• Liaise with agents, HMRC, and other regulatory bodies to ensure seamless clearance processes.
• Support operational planning for both domestic and international movements.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff, contributing to team development as the department grows.
• Ensure meticulous attention to detail in documentation, customs entries, and shipment tracking.

What we’re looking for:

The successful candidate with have proven experience with Import / Export customs clearance,  especially for Road Freight.

While Fine Art handling experience is not essential, candidates must have experience working with high-value or fragile shipments, such as luxury goods, antiques, or specialist freight.

Other key requirements:

• Ideally experience working out of Heathrow or similar high-volume freight environments.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, procedures, and documentation.
• Comfortable working with high-value or specialist shipments – not necessarily fine art, but luxury or sensitive freight is essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Capable of working independently and taking initiative in a dynamic team environment.

This role is part of a growing team, and while a senior profile is preferred, our client is open to considering junior candidates with a few years of relevant customs clearance experience.
