Our client is a well-established logistics and transportation company with a strong presence in the European road import sector. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented European Road Import Clerk to join our team and assist with the day-to-day operations of our Import Department. Duties include:

• Assisting the Department Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the department.
• Entering jobs and manifests onto the FMS (Freight Management System) for efficient tracking and management.
• Providing the warehouse and all other depots with the necessary information for the prompt and efficient off-loading of trailers.
• Liaising with Agents and customers to understand their needs and requirements, ensuring timely and satisfactory deliveries.
• Daily collation of information from Hauliers regarding arrival and departure times.
• Calculating prices and costs for specific manifests on a daily basis.
• Updating spreadsheets with relevant information to maintain accurate records.
• Assisting the Department Manager with consolidating and presenting data for monthly KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience in import/export or logistics is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using FMS systems and other relevant software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of European road transportation regulations and procedures.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
