Removals Operations Controller

Salary: Circa £40,000 (depending on experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Removals Operations Controller to work for our established Removals client, offering packing, removals and storage services in Manchester.

This is a hands-on role focused on keeping daily operations running efficiently, compliantly and profitably, while maintaining high service standards for both clients and crews.

What you’ll do:

• Control day-to-day removals operations and resource planning
• Maximise fleet and crew utilisation to drive profit
• Ensure compliance with H&S, transport legislation and company standards
• Manage and motivate operational staff and crews
• Liaise with sales to optimise bookings and margins
• Monitor service delivery and reduce complaints and claims
• Support move coordination with claims and issue resolution

What you need:

• Strong experience in removals operations management
• Solid knowledge of transport legislation and fleet compliance
• Confident leadership and people management skills
• Commercial awareness and strong planning ability
• IT-literate with good problem-solving skills
• Around 5+ years’ removals industry experience
