Job Title:  Temp Air Freight Export Clerk / Air Export Operator

Location:  Staines 

Position: Temporary with potential to become permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Air Freight Export Clerk / Air Export Operator to join their busy team in Essex. This is an urgent temporary requirement with the potential to become a permanent position for the right person.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling air freight export shipments from start to finish, including customs entries, export documentation, and liaison with clients, carriers and overseas agents.

This role would suit someone who is highly organised, proactive and experienced within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Managing air freight export shipments from start to finish
• Completing customs entries and ensuring compliance with procedures
• Preparing and processing export documentation
• Liaising with airlines, clients, hauliers and overseas agents
• Monitoring shipment progress and providing updates
• Ensuring files are completed accurately and within deadlines
• Handling operational issues and resolving queries efficiently

Requirements

• Previous experience in air freight exports
• End-to-end operational knowledge
• Customs entry experience
• Strong understanding of export shipping documentation
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Available immediately or at short notice preferred
