Internal Sales Team Leader

Salary: Up to £37,000 OTE

Location: Wakefield

Start: ASAP

On behalf of our specialist distribution clients, we are looking to appoint a proactive and motivational Sales professional to lead the telesales team, at their branch in Wakefield.

What you'll do:

As Internal Sales Team Leader you will be responsible for developing the team to generate new business and developing customer base through activation and retention.  A typical day will involve delivering a high-level of service to potential and existing customers whilst increasing sales, product lines and profitability. 

Duties include:

• Developing long-term business relationships
• Leading the team and offering supporting in identifying opportunities
• Responding to quotation requirements in a timely manner i.e. same day
• Increase the product range sold to each customer
• Utilising the sales tools provided to maximise the full potential and spend of each customer
• Achieving an initial gross profit margin, as well as increased sales of an agreed percentage
• Maintaining accurate computerised records are kept up to date
• Setting and monitoring weekly and monthly objectives
• Actively supporting all marketing campaigns/outbound promotions by maximising take-up where possible through analysis.

What you need:

We're keen to speak to commercially aware sales professionals with 2+ years' experience in a similar role.  Candidates should have leadership skills / qualities and be proficient in pricing and profitability.

• Ability to multitask, be organised, agree priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
• Sound knowledge of customer base, customer needs and sales cycle
