Salary: £26,500 per annum

Our client, a specialist in Fine Art Shipping, is looking to appoint a Junior Transport Planner for their branch in Middlesex.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic individual looking to develop a career in transport planning within the fine art logistics industry.

What you'll do:

As Junior Transport Planner, you will support the transport team in coordinating the movement of fine art and high-value items across the UK. Your day will involve assisting with vehicle routes, scheduling collections and deliveries, liaising with drivers and technicians, and keeping transport records up to date.

Duties include:

  • Assisting with daily transport planning for collections, deliveries, installations and removals.
  • Helping to plan efficient vehicle routes and allocate resources.
  • Liaising with drivers and specialist installation teams to confirm schedules and requirements.
  • Monitoring vehicle movements and keeping the team informed of progress or delays.
  • Supporting the team with changes to bookings and customer requests.
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate transport documentation.
  • Updating schedules, booking systems and operational records.
  • Assisting with vehicle availability and maintenance scheduling.
  • Following company procedures for the safe and secure transportation of artwork.

What you need:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a helpful, professional approach.
  • An interest in transport planning, logistics or fine art shipping.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm in a busy environment.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience in transport administration, logistics or scheduling would be an advantage.
