The Company & Role of Freight Forwarding Sales Executive:

Our client, a transport and logistics company are looking for a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive to join their team in Essex.

The company is looking for a driven and ambitious business developer and dedicated deal closer.  You should be comfortable creating and growing a pipeline of new business, either from cold or warm leads.  

Main Responsibilities for Freight Forwarding Sales Executive:

  • Building a sales pipeline, tracking and managing the complete sales process end to end, from opportunity qualification to closure of new business
  • Communicating with in/outbound leads via multiple channels (phone, email and social media)
  • Collaborating closely with the members of the inside sales team on finding ways to improve team performance and exceed sales targets
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plan and strategies that will guarantee achievement of target
  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
  • Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
  • Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
  • Reviewing your sales performance to meet or exceed the monetary/volume targets set
  • Securing new business to meet or exceed the monetary/volume target set
  • Meeting or exceeding the monthly level of customer visits/calls as set by management
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
  • Feeding future buying trends back to the company

Skills and Experience Required for a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive:

  • Can demonstrate outstanding performance within a previous sales role
  • Strong communication skills with strong business related knowledge
  • The ability and desire to sell with a positive, confident and determined approach
  • Highly self-motivated and ambitious in achieving goals
  • Able to work both in a team and also perform independently
  • Previous experience in facing customers
  • Background in Freight Forwarding/Shipping/Logistics

In Return for the Freight Forwarding Sales Executive:

You will receive a salary circa £30-40k plus commission.
